This song is clear as the day is blue as to what its about. I feel that the message they are trying to convey or reveal is the discovery of what is known as the "Illuminati". A secret group that influences every part of our lives, they control the media, the money, the so called elected leaders and the laws that were instituted to protect the freedom of each and every person here in the united states. This song gives a glimpse at there realm of influence. They are religious, political figure heads who have an amazing way of selling us what we want to hear. But what there selling is fabricated purposeful lies that have only the corporations benefiting from, like the war on terror, the events surrounding 9/11, the Boston marathon bombing. These are tools that they are using to invoke fear so they may take more of our rights we all wish were truths. We have become s o fixated on survival that we don't notice how our rights are being systematically stripped away by a handful of megalomaniacs who desire nothing more then to control every aspect of our lives and this has all been done right under our noses hence the lyric " years of sleep have left you blind, I made the bed your in". I'm alive, gives meaning to the term being reborn or awakening. He has seen the truth that is evident for all to see, the veil of deception, or the cloud of nimbus that seems to hide the truth is no longer blinding his sight because truth is something that when discovered emanates like a beacon for all to see. This is that symbolic jewel. President Eisenhower and Kennedy both warned us of its influence and its reach to corrupt and subjugate all who stand in there way, one of them died because he was going to reveal there identity and intent. Great song and important subject matter makes this song one of the best on the album.
