Black Veil Brides – Faithless lyrics
Behold
The new hate with all the same lost values
Forsake
What lives deeper in death we're all believers
Raise up your sirens, break through the silence
We are united in the search of something more

Cross your heart, open your mind
Hide your face in their disguise

Even when I fall down to my knees
I never say a prayer I don't believe
And I don't wanna look up to the Son
But I will never be the faithless one

No I will never be the faithless one

Refuse
To destroy the altars we are serving
The truth
In living is that our souls are searching
Live with defiance it's time to fight
Don't ever let them keep your words from being heard

Cross your heart
Open your mind
Hide your face in their disguise

Even when I fall down to my knees
I never say a prayer I don't believe

And I don't wanna look up to the Son
But I will never be the faithless one

No I will never be the faithless one

Even when I fall down to my knees
I never say a prayer I don't believe
And I don't wanna look up to the Son
But I will never be the faithless one

Even when I fall down to my knees
I never say a prayer I don't believe
And I don't wanna look up to the Son
But now I wanna be the faithless one

No I will never be the faithless one

And I will never be the faithless one

To the fella that wrote on October 12, you do realize that Andy is an atheist, right? When he says he'll never be the faithless one, he means not the faith in god, but just that he will never not fully believe in something, what that is he hasn't disclaimed, and probably will not.

This song has a lot of meaning. The chorus, especially, seems to hold an ocean of feeling and meaning. He knows he did not lead a perfect life "I don't want to look up to the Son." However, he still believes. He knows that god exists. "I will never be the faithless one"
Niether will I. I will never be the faithless one. And I, too, have never said a prayer I don't believe.
He sees and recognizes that as humans we are searching for purpose and meaning in our life. And he knows that there is a God and that he will look at Him and say "I believe. I am not faithless. I believe." I hope that we all are able to say that. To see that we are indeed searching for something more and surely, since there is so much evidence of a greater being, surely we can say that we know that there is God.
That we will never be the faithless one.

Andy was born into a family which was very devoutly Catholic. He has always said that he is an atheist, but I think that the sentiment behind this song comes from his childhood. I was also brought up in a very Christian family, and I find that this song really resonates with how I came to accept my own atheism. So that's what the song means to me.

In an interview with Kerrang!, however, Andy said "This was written when I saw a sign for an atheist's coalition. What do these guys do, get together to talk about how they don't believe in something? 'Faithless' is about not wanting to pray to God. But I refuse to be someone who has no hope, and makes fun of those whose beliefs are different to mine".

Formerly, Andy Biersack was an atheist and later came out strong to be a Christian and notably the song he sung; "In the End" was a message of being a saint who has the power to relive back to glory to fight for this life not even a death could chill him to fear for his surety is fix for the Lord. This song was released last Dec. 12 of 2012.
The song entitled, "The Faithless" inspiring thoughts I earned because the lyrics initiates our inner being to search something more and I meant it deeply as our hearts and thinking must be in line to the guidance of the Spirit of God rather than a falsehood idols hence, we are all believers.
