Bob Marley – Jah Live lyrics
Jah live
Children yeah
Jah Jah live children yeah
Jah Live
Children yeah
Jah Jah Live children yeah
The truth is an offence
But not a sin

Is he who laugh last, children
Is he who win
Is a foolish dog
Bark at the flying bird
One sheep must learn, children
To respect the shepherd
Jah live
Children yeah
Jah Jah Live children yeah
Jah Live
Children yeah
Jah Jah Live children yeah
Fool say in their heart
Rasta your God is dead
But I and I know, Jah Jah
Dread it shall be Dreader Dread
Jah Live children yeah
Jah Jah Live children yeah
Jah Live children yeah
Jah Jah Live children yeah
Let jah arise
Now that the enemies are scattered
Let Jah arise
The enemies, the enemies are scattered
Jah Live children yeah
Jah Jah Live children yeah
Jah live Children yeah
Jah Jah Live children yeah

This song for me is about having faith & assurance that God is alive; it is about being laughed at but then winning in the end in the name of God; its about respecting God & being blessed by the spirit of God's omnipresence. It's like saying have faith God lives. Sometimes in adversity we forget this but God is alive & lives. It's about battles; seemingly losing but rising in the end; people, we, must learn to respect the shepherd (a guide or watch over); letting God arise & watching your enemies scatter; let God take control; surrender & let God deal/arise; also telling the truth may hurt but it is not wrong or unlawful morally or religiously. Finally a dog who barks at a flying bird is silly because the bird is flying (high) & cannot be touched or caught; its out of the dog's reach; are you the bird who is flying high or away & cannot be caught? If so, good keep flying, the dog (person) can't reach you. Finally, finally this song seems to be about respect; respecting Jah. A very meaningful & cleverly written song for our children to know & be educated by.
