Bob Marley – Who The Cap Fit lyrics
Man to man is so unjust, children:
Ya don't know who to trust.
Your worst enemy could be your best friend,
And your best friend your worse enemy.

Some will eat and drink with you,
Then behind them su-su 'pon you.
Only your friend know your secrets,
So only he could reveal it.
And who the cap fit, let them wear it!
Who the cap fit, let them wear it
!
Said I throw me corn, me no call no fowl;
I saying, "Cook-cook-cook, cluk-cluk-cluk."

Some will hate you, pretend they love you now,
Then behind they try to eliminate you.
But who Jah bless, no one curse;
Thank God, we're past the worse.
Hypocrites and parasites
Will come up and take a bite
.
And if your night should turn to day,
A lot of people would run away.
And who the stock fit let them wear it!
Who the (cap fit) let them (wear it)!

And then a-gonna throw me corn,
And then a-gonna call no fowl,
And then a-gonna "Cook-cook-cook, cluk-cluk-cluk."
---
/Instrumental break/
---
Some will eat and drink with you,
Then behind them su-su 'pon you, yeah!
And if night should turn to day, now,
A lot of people would run away, yeah!
And who the cap fit, let them wear it!
Who the cap fit, let them wear it!
Throw me corn, me no call no fowl;
A-saying: "Cook-cook-cook, cluk-cluk-cluk."
...: "Cook-cook-cook, cluk-cluk-cluk."
Throw me corn (cook-cook-cook);
Me call no fowl (cluk-cluk-cluk)

    The people closest to you are the ones who know everything about you. If you hear your secrets being told then you know who has told them. "i throw me corn, me no call no fowl" I put it out there and just wait for the chicken to come to me. Enemies often stay close to you so they can try and hurt you but if you are blessed nothing can happen to you.

    Be careful of people; you don't know who to trust. Your closest friend could be your untrusted because they know much about you; your closest friend will or can set a trap. Basically if this is who they want to be let them be. Best to know who your friend is than not at all because you will overcome it. Lastly what you cook up for someone else you also cook up for yourself.

    Listening to this song this fine morning, and thinking about the [Refrain]. I love this. I throw me corn: I'm just a farmer, minding my own business, being productive in my own way, taking care of me, mine and my side of the street. Me no call no fowl: Let's face it, Bob loved football. He's saying: I'm not trying to say anything bad about you or that you did anything wrong, what you do is your own business, so you have no reason to pay attention to what I'm doing either. Wondering if there is another meaning in Jamaican patois for "cuk-cuk-cuk" or "cluck-cluck-cluck." And, if he's not calling the chickens, why is he saying those things? Not calling the chickens, but at the same time walking among them, kind of communicating with them, interacting with them, soothing them. They're taking care of him, he's taking care of them. But, at the same time, it's like his clicking his tongue. If folks are up to no good, he's just in the garden kind of saying under his breath: "tsk! tsk! tsk!" Just cause I don't say anything, don't try to think I don't see what you do or I condone it I just got better things to do. Bless up, Is!.

    this is actually a very good song that has a meaning that everyone needs to know.Be aware of the friends that are close to you.stay away from fake friends because they will use your head for you to think"oh this person is a good friend"but at the end they will leave you and won't support you even after you supported them.use your head wisely!!! we all could not be safe especially with the people who is around us in present past and future.and also keep this in mind,if you have a enemy who treats you bad and bullies you and all of a sudden they want to be your friend always remember the line of what Bob Marley said"some will hate you,pretend they love you now,then behind they try to eliminate you"so be aware of those friends you have because not all eggs are the same

    Friends come and go, but our Lord Jesus is forever and will never betray you. Forgiveness is important, but we are no one's door mat either. When God is with you, who can come against you. Love is also important for Love covers multitude of sins. God Bless, Forgive, and Love one another. For what we sow so shall we reap.
