I fell in love with this song because after I finally found god I realized he had always been there. I was homeless, had a special needs child, couldn't work because of the care my baby needed, would go to churches for help and get turned away, I couldn't understand why god could watch all the struggles my family was going through and do nothing, I felt he wasn't there. I was broken down to nothing when my son passed away at the age of 2, my life was a black hole at the bottom of the earth or at least that's how I viewed it. I have recently become a dedicated follower of god and understand now the only way I made life happen after everything I had been through was because god picked me up and lifted me out of the ground, he never gave up on me.
