Coldplay – Major Minus lyrics
You got wonder on what you knew
And wonder on what you do
So be careful who you're talking to

You got one eye on what you knew
And one eye on what you do
So be careful what it is you're trying to do

So be careful... !
So be careful when you're walking in the view!

Ooh-oooh-oooh
Ooh-oooh-oooh-ooh
Got one eye on the road and one on you!

Ooh-oooh-oooh
Ooh-oooh-oooh-ooh
Got one eye on the road and one on you

You got one eye on what you knew
And one eye on what you do
So be careful 'cause nothing is true

... Don't believe a word
It's just us against the world
And we just gotta turn to...

I hear those crocodiles ticking 'round the world
I hear those crocodiles ticking (you go) ticking 'round the world

Ooh-oooh-oooh
Ooh-oooh-oooh-ooh
Got one eye on the road and one on you!

Ooh-oooh-oooh
Ooh-oooh-oooh-ooh
Got one eye on the road and...

Ooh-oooh-oooh
Got one eye on the road and one on you!
Got one eye on the road and one on you

I reckon this song is about drugs, and paranoia. "they got one eye watching you... One eye on what you do" - clearly a sign that he believes everyone is out watching him, and the person he's meant to be singing this to. Then this isn't much to do with the lyrics, but the chorus sounds drug-influenced. All psychedelic rock, if you have a listen.
Finally, the bridge part: "i got my right side fighting by my left side on the chairs". I think he's beginning to dissociate his "right side" from his "left side". He's clearly not quite right in the head. It's a sign of depersonalization, a symptom of taking too many hallucinogenic drugs like lsd.
I'm not a doctor, but I've looked this up on the internet; of course if there are any real doctors/medical students out there feel free to correct any mistakes I made.

Allegromontroppo is thinking what I'm thinking. The "one eye" may refer to the eye of horus, or the eye of big brother. The ticking crocodile is possibly a reference to the crocodile in peter pan, however possibly a double meaning there with the david icke reptilian theory. Not that there's reptile aliens controlling the world but the primitive reptile consciousness that's in us all hence the "(you go) ticking around the world" just a few thoughts :)

I think that this song uses different aspects of driving as an analogy to life.
The first part of the song says that dwelling on the past can be a major distraction ("you got one eye on what you knew"), while you're trying to do something new with your life ("and one eye on what you do"). Another line that talks about the perils of indulging too much in the past is "So be careful when you're walking in the view" where "view" really means "rear-view mirror" - a mirror into the life that has gone by.
Chris Martin then switches gears and assures his lover (I assume that who he always talks to) that no matter what the "road" ahead (i. E. The future) looks like and what the dangers ("crocodiles"), he will always have "one eye on the road" (challenges of the future) and "one eye on you" (love/care for her).
