Don't know for sure what George had in mind but a wah is a guitar sound effects pedal. It's also the sound someone makes when giving a complaining cry. The song seems to have a double meaning here. One of how his inexpensive pedal was so effective in his playing it made him a big star. On the other hand he doesn't want the crying complaints of others to ruin his good mood, or sweet life. It could be a singing method too in which one puts a dramatic cry-like effect into a song. He may be saying that he doesn't need that to succeed in life or in his songs.

I'm told it is a slap at John Lennon. John was invited to play at The Concert for Bangladesh by George and refused. George, who had always been good friends with John, hit back by calling John's guitar playing wah wah. I don't need no wah wah. The comments would have bitten deep into John's ego. John loved everything about himself - particularly his guitar work.

Its about yoko ono screeching iread. In a beatles blogthis has to be 50 words but that is all iu can remember, I think he said this himself, got it on harrison website she would screech and that and he went home one night after her screeching and wrote that. He did want to leave the beatles he wanted to compose on his own, I think they were annoyed at paul mccartney that he decided they should disband after refusing for a year but he did his best didn't he.

This was Harrison's reaction to Paul Mccartney's crying antics during what was to be the final months of the Beatles' creative endeavors. Harrison thought they were crocodile tears of the first magnitude, since Mccartney had been the lightning rod for dissolving the band (while crying about it at the same time). You can literally hear him speeding away from the group in a sports car during the final seconds of the song.
