Well thru the entire song he loves her so much no matter where she is or even if she is gone. He told her he would love her always, even till he died. She said he would forget after time went by, but come to find out, he kept his word to her and loved her till the day he died. For on that day, only with his death, did he stop loving her as they carried him away to his grave and placed a wreath upon his door to show respect to him. Great Song!

I stopped loving her today, the day she married another. 1964. My life went on but 50 years later it is still not the same as it was. I could still pick up where it left off back then. I hope b-4 all time passes that I will one more time have the heavenly pleasure of saying good by.

I bumped through this song on Spotify. I'm a millennial but still love this classic song. The storyline hooked me and went me for a breakdown. I was been engaged for several years with my foreign fiancee. We hit rock bottom with our relationship and I walked away. He said he'll never stop loving me and will stay single as he lost interest in knowing someone again. I know he kept my letters I sent from overseas including my sonnets. He still kept pictures on his wall. The relationship we had was toxic the reason I walked away. But I must admit that it'll be him I'll always love (he was my first and I fought so hard and waited for so long for us until I lost hope) till the day I'll die. I know that I love him deeply because despite the ugliness of his past and the way he treated me, he still preyed on my mind and wrench my heart when he jogs on memory lane. It's just sad that we must part ways for everyone's sake.

This song touches my heart everytime I listen to it, which is sometimes repeatedly. This song , my husband passed on almost 11 years ago and every verse hits home in someway. Beginning at the day we met , the 2 years together until we married and the 17 years we were married. Deep soul feelings from within . Tears and memories . Always. Love u Chad!
