The band expresses that their friend who was suffering from cancer, when at the end of her days, bloomed like a “wildflower.“ The vocalist recalls how their friend had an inspiring personality; even when faced with death, her response to and acceptance of this fate was unique (non-conforming), beautiful, brave and empowering, just like the blooming of a wildflower.

It can also be interpreted as their friend’s capacity to bloom and flourish in all natures, scenarios and environments, even death and thereafter. Flowers have a relatively short lifespan after blooming and can connote the fragility of life.

I think it represents the eventual ending of a relationship between yourself and a mentor type figure. Someone who perhaps saw all your faults and worse moments, but now you've bloomed like a Wildflower. They meant a lot but you till have to say goodbye. I know nothing lasts forever, when you go what will you treasure?
