Jason Michael Carroll – Alyssa Lies lyrics
My little girl met a new friend
Just the other day
On the playground at school
Between the tires and the swings
But she came home with tear-filled eyes
And she said to me "Daddy, Alyssa Lies"

But I just brushed it off at first
Cause I didn't know how much my little girl had been hurt
Or the things she had seen
I wasn't ready when I said you can tell me
And she said

[Chorus:]
Alyssa Lies
To the classroom
Alyssa lies
Everyday at school
Alyssa lies
To the teachers
As she tries to cover every bruise

My little girl laid her head down
That night to go to sleep
As I stepped out the room I heard her say
A prayer so soft and sweet
God bless my mom and my dad
And my new friend Alyssa
I know she needs you bad because

[Chorus:]

I had the worst night of sleep in years
As I tried to think of a way to calm her fears
I knew exactly what it was I had to do
But when we got to school on Monday I heard the news

My little girl asked me why everybody looked so sad
The lump in my throat grew bigger
With every question that she asked
Until I felt the tears run down my face
And I told her that Alyssa wouldn't be at school today

Cause she doesn't lie
In the classroom
She doesn't lie
Anymore at school
Alyssa lies
With Jesus
Because there's nothing anyone would do

Tears
filled my eyes
When my little girl asked me why
Alyssa lies
Daddy, oh Daddy
Tell me why
Alyssa lies

You guys know exactly what is going on. I'm right there with you asher123456789. I have tha same thing happening to me. I've had it happen for 10 years now. It hurts your friends so much once they hear abvout 9 years later and are forced by you not to do any thing because its your dad. I cover my bruises pretty well. And I lie in tha classroom all tha time to my teachers. They just wouldnt understand.
    I love you rachiim! ♥.

It means that people want to stop child abuse or any kind of abuse. It means that you don't want to bully anybody either. Don't be mean to anybody cuz if they die young or get injured and die or get an illness that might/will kill them you will feel bad when they die. And don't abuse your children because they are the future and are miricales in their own little ways.

This is brianna ring from milton west virginia and this song makes me think of when I used to get beat everyday when I lived with my stepdad and that is the worst thing other then bullying! I have asked the question, could that have been me if I had never told my grandma? This girl alyssa she was a real little girl and the people that had beaten her should have beat anything but that little girl! This song makes me cry everytime I hear it. But now at the end of this year at panther idol at milton middle I will be singing this sad but true story about a young girl that made the mistake of not telling anyone but that shouldnt have been abused in the first place then died to the people that abuse your kids, you need help and open ur eyes or when your go to jail the people in there will. To the people that are getting abused my love heart and soul go out to you and if you were like me then you will tell before this song becomes you!

The song tells a story of a man whose daughter befriended a young girl at school named alyssa, who told his daughter about what happens in her home. Alyssa is a young girl who is abused by her family, and by the time anyone who could help found out, the little alyssa was beaten to death. It is a tragic story of how terrible not only physical abuse, but abuse in anyway is.

It makes my heart hurt to think that anyone could look at a poor innocent child and want to cause them any harm. Child abusers have no heart and will get exactly what they deserve in the end. For all the victems of abuse, know that there are many people willing to help you and that my heart and soul go out to all of you who suffer abuse day after day. Please help stop abuse!

The song always make cry. No child ever deserves to be beaten to death. They are the worlds most innocent human being and pretty soon there wont be enough jails if the world doesn't support having better homes for children. Get these children out of these homes and put somewhere where no hand will ever be layed on them and a place where they know they are loved, and no I don't mean with Jesus.

mitchielavander ~ It’s NOT too late to speak up for your friend! There is NO statute of limitations on MURDER. Go to/contact the Police Department where the two of you were & TELL THEM! You can still be an advocate for your friend, it probably won’t be easy for you to do, but YOU CAN DO IT!!! Good luck.

Its sad to know that kids are suffering through this every day this song reminds me of my friend mikey she was beaten to death. I was only 10 years old when I met her and she told me what happened to her from day one. I didn't know what to say or do to help her. By the time I told my mom what was going on it was to late. I came to school the next day and I found out that she died that night from "falling down the stairs" but I know the truth. Rip miky I think of you everyday.
