It's about letting go of the person you once loved because you don't feel the same way anymore and it would be unfair to hold on and hurt him more and more each day. It's wishing for happiness to that person by letting him go and also freeing yourself so you'll find what exactly you are looking for though you don't really know how and what the future will be for you. The climb in finding that happiness is steep. :)

It's about a girl who loved someone dearly but is no longer in love with him. And she is suffering because she is letting go of him and it pains her to know that she is hurting him. Since she initiated this movie, the road to recovery is much difficult for her and much easier for the guy coz he doesn't deserve someone like her, he deserves more.

she really is lying about everything.

if you really care about not hurting someone yet inevitable, you should not do it gently cuz it will just hurt more.
don't hold, and don't lie next to him/her anymore.

Its about letting go of someone because you don't feel the same way as before yet you are letting that someone go to make that person happy even if it means that you will be left alone in the dark. maybe it's because you feel like a burden to that person's happiness because you feel like lying. Then in that darkness you don't want that person to see you because it will pain you both if that person sees you suffering. This song is painful. Letting go of someone you don't love the same way but never wanting that someone to be hurt. IT IS PAINFUL :(

Loving someone yet that someone love someone else. A heartaching story common to everybody. Its about no matter how hard you fight for it, if that person you love has someone else, then better find yourself a place where you can't complicate things out. We can't force somebody to love us the way we want to be loved. No matter how rich we are or even how good we are, we must face the reality that if a person is not meant for us the only thing that we can do is to accept it.

Girls have secrets and this one made a choice to increase her financial opportunities. Its risky and all the bad things always follow her around. She decides to end the relationship because her partner lives on fairytales and not realities.

We all have to go somewhere, sometime, and do something in the not too distant future.

I believe this song represents someone who has dealt with depression for a long time and over time they cannot be the support to their spouse or partner that the spouse deserves. For some, as depression goes on it gets worse even when treated. Over time their world gets smaller and smaller as it becomes more difficult... walking into the rain. Ultimately the song is about me, or people like me that don't want to take down family and friends around them as they deal with depression. I look for no sympathy, I have learned to go on. Comparatively, for you the future is easy while for me... it's getting Steep.
