I think this is about someone who just went through a traumatic event in their life and is asking a friend to help them get through it. It seems like the user puts themself down in a realistic depressing way by saying " im only a crack in this castle of glass" hinting they are a small and meaningless blemish on something much bigger and better. And the line " hardly anything left for you to see" may refer to how beaten and battered they are following the traumatic event.

The overall meaning of this song is - I'm unique out of all the rest.
The line "cause I'm only a crack in this castle of glass" means I am the only different person (crack) in this world of people (castle of glass).
The line "hardly anything there for you to see" means - because I'm such a small difference in these many people you will mistake me as one of them.
Later on we come across the line "hardly anything else I need to be" this means I have tried every thing to show you that I am different there is hardly anything left that I can do to make you understand.

To me, and this might just be me, it seems as if someone was hurt, horribly. 'Poisoned' by how bad it hurts inside. Broken apart, into millions of pieces. Maybe it hurts so bad inside that it feels right to hurt outside as well. You know it's bad for you, but the 'sirens' sing out and call you back. You need someone, someone who understands, to help get past hurting yourself. Feels so small in the big picture of things. I'm especially pulled towards the line 'hardly anything there for you to see. ' There's barely anything left of the person you used to be. This song really relates to anyone who's ever experienced losing something precious to them. Anyone who feels insignificant, anyone who's in pain right now.

It's very well tied to the music video. The music video shows a kid who has lost his dad to war and is trying to cope with the loss and then learns that it makes him stronger for it and ends up serving his nation. The song reminds me of why I went into what I did cause I want make those who I have lost to be proud of me even if aren't with me.

As far as my view, here the writer says he is the only a negative person depending his thought to the people who view him as assumption in this temporary world where everything is like glass that will break away and show a bit of positivity to improve himself as he believes nobody would dwells deep enough to understand him.So, he portraits the picture that u have to be strong by yourself to live ur your life yourself.
