    Wow I come here after the song started trending and it doesn't sound like a person who haves lots of self esteem, more of somebody who haves lots of problems, trying to not look at the bad things, consdering yourself so "lucky lucky" for all the positive things, even if it's not that much. Struggeling with very bad things, but consider yourself lucky, others have it worse, consider yourself lucky you don't have it so bad.
    It's lovely lovely, you make your own problems down, you realize it's bad, but you can't and won't do anything against it

    i think the song represents(and this is a little morbid) an abusive relationship from the back and forth point of view of an outsider and the victim in the abusive relationship. “you can fool yourself, i promise it will help” is coming from the outsider who is trying to help the victim with coping with the trauma of that relationship. “i just wanna hear you say, ‘i’m so lucky lucky’…” seems to be the outsider also trying to get the victim to think positively to help cope and regain their self esteem. “even though you said it would never end, it’s over” is the victim telling their abuser they no longer are trapped under their thumb, and are now leaving the relationship. “you were smiling on my arm, now you’re crying on my shoulder” is probably the victim taking account of their abuser’s mood swing as their attempting to get them to stay in their unhealthy relationship.

    So, i think it is talking about a placebo effect, I use it everyday and it helps with coping, so it’s like, you’re sad and you start smiling and your brain will think you’re happy and will make you happy. So you tell yourself you’re lucky and lovely to cope with whatever sadness you’ve got, ex: your friends don’t like you but won’t tell you but you kinda know, you tell yourself you’re lucky to have them and that you’re a lovely friend to cope with the trauma it gives you. Based on a situation I am living. Hope this helps! <3

    I think that the meaning behind this song is that even though you can have negative emotions, it’s important to always see something positive in it, and that you should not let it affect you or anyone around you.
    But I’m still confused by the line « you can fool yourself I promise it’ll help » if anyone can help me understand, it would be greatly appreciated

    "lucky twice" seems to be about a person trying not to think about reality or trying to pretend that they can live forever and died, being comforted by a person who saw it all, because of the lines "you can fool yourself i promise it will help", "laughing through the day thinking you are never boring", "there's nothing you can do to keep it out there's nothing you can do, just scream and shout", "i just wanna hear you saying i'm so lucky lucky i'm so lucky lucky i'm so lovely lovely i'm so lovely lovely", "even though you said it would never end, it's over you were smiling on my arm, now you're crying on my shoulder", and "you can never be forever good together young and clever you can never be forever"

    This song reminds me about when people break up. My friend became so sad and so I sent this song to her, just like my brother did for me. It is kinda like a way of moving past the hurt that they did to you and remembering that life isn't just about one person. Your life is so much more and you can't dwell in one person who is gone forever. You have to look to wats in front of you.

    I looked up this song because I liiike it a lot and I wanted to know the band/artist. I hear it constantly on the legg's commericial, for undergarment stockings.
    The meaning?
    I think its about a girl who's life isn't so great but she doesn't take it for granted and she's saying she's so lucky to be alive and she's lovely, she has good self - esteem and a boy she likes or in this case loves. Is always down and only sees the bad side of things and she's saying oh well, you can fool yourself, maybe it will help you. But this is how I am.

    I think its a about someone that is thinking if they tell people what they want to do with their life and how they are going to live it and they are scared and a person is saying theres nothing you can do to keep it out theres nothing you can do ecept scream and shout what you want your life to be or its about somebody that's dead or just got out of a relationship and is really sad or about a kid or adult that's coming out of the closet and is scared to tell friends and family and they only told 1 person like I haven't told my family I was I only told 3 of my true friends that wouldn't tell people and my friend sent me this song when I was sad of a breakup and when I told her I was scared to tell people I was lesbian whenever I'm down this song cheers me up and I think if your down it will cheer you up to and if look on the cover of this album its of two girls hugging they are either g** or are great friends they help eachother out and cheer each other up it could be any of thos not just one theory.
