Bring Me The Horizon – Visions lyrics
This is a call to arms, so grab your guns and get your horses
Only the dead have seen the end of this fight
This is a call to arms, so all you fallen soldiers sing with me: death or glory

So march with me if you believe there's any hope for us
I've been hiding in these trenches for far too long
All is fair in love and war, so they tell me
All is fair in love and war, so they say

Come on, come on, there has to be a better way
Get up, get up, let's leave this mess
I know a place that we can get away from all of this
Come on come on, get up get up

I've been dreaming of us leaving everything and everyone we've ever known
I've been thinking all these visions must be a sign, so hold on and don't let go

No, we can't leave till you tell me everything
So come clean, don't talk in tongues, talk in tongues
It's time to bring out your dead
And the skeletons that you've been hiding
Tell me everything I need to know
Bring out your dead
Bring out your dead

So march with me if you believe there's any hope for us
I've been hiding in these trenches for far too long
All is fair in love and war, so they tell me
All is fair in love and war, so they say

Come on come on, get up get up
I know a place that we can get away from all of this
Yeah

I couldn't see a thing till I shut my eyes
I never knew a thing till I lost my mind
I would sell my soul to know it all, but I held the keys all this time
I couldn't see a thing till I shut my eyes
I never knew a thing till I lost my mind
I would sell my soul to know it all, but I held the keys all this time

I've been dreaming of us leaving everything and everyone we've ever known
I've been thinking all these visions must be a sign, so hold on and don't let go
I've been dreaming of us leaving everything and everyone we've ever known
I've been thinking all these visions must be a sign, so hold on and don't let go

Bring out your dead
Bring out your dead
Bring out your dead

A song about love within which they are stuck in a mess because one has not been completely open or honest. He needs her to tell him everything if they are to move on and be happy. Check each lyric, try and relate it to a relationship, especially when he refers to fighting and war, since in it never ends he says: "this is what you call love, this is our war"

This song is not about war. He uses war and death as metaphors. The song is about a relationship between him and a girl. When he says "so march with me if you think there is any hope for us" he's saying if you believe our relationship can't make it come with me and he tells her "I've been thinking these visions are a sign, so hold on don't let go", he's saying that they're meant to be together and to have faith in him. Later he says that he's "been dreaming of leaving everything behind" and taking her with him but in order for them to start fresh she has to tell him the truth and her secrets. So when he says "bring out your dead", he wants her to reveal the "skeletons in her closet". He wants to know everything so they can't start fresh and be together without worrying about anything else.

I think it's about a relationship that nobody approves of, so it seems like a war. They both think that the only way to be together is to kill themselves "only the dead can see the end of this fight" and he wants them to do it together "i know a place where we can get away from all of this. " he's trying to find a way to convince her so they can do it together "i've been thinking all these visions are a sign. " brilliant song and can relate so much.

The entire album is clearly using war as a metaphore for drugs. If you haven't already picked up on this then the amount of references you will now notice will provide you some beautiful imagery. For example in this song, I believe this song refers to the need to escape your surroundings in order to stop drug abuse. Oliver sykes himself was introduced to drugs through his girlfriend, id say that's a good piece of influential material for this song and the entire album for a matter of fact.

I think he is talking about a relationship too, but it also relates to life in general. We are all living a life that we believe is real, but it's not until we lose what truly matters that opens up our eyes and minds. It talks about leaving this "reality" and exposing your mistakes to yourself cause we all have them. Idk this song can have so much meanings and the more I stare at it the more I find new ones. This song is so amazing and this album is their best so far! And yes, I do love deathcore and the way bmth used to sound, but I can always listen to other bands or their old album if I want more.
