Muse – Undisclosed Desires lyrics
I know you've suffered,
But I don't want you to hide,
It's cold and loveless,
I won't let you be denied

Soothing,
I'll make you feel pure,
Trust me,
You can be sure

I want to reconcile the violence in your heart
I want to recognize your beauty is not just a mask,
I want to exorcise the demons from your past,
I want to satisfy the undisclosed desires in your heart

You trick your lovers,
That you're wicked and divine,
You may be a sinner,
But your innocence is mine

Please me,
Show me how it's done,
Tease me,
You are the one

I want to reconcile the violence in your heart,
I want to recognize your beauty is not just a mask,
I want to exorcise the demons from your past,
I want to satisfy the undisclosed desires in your heart

Please me,
Show me how it's done,
Trust me,
You are the one

I want to reconcile the violence in your heart,
I want to recognize your beauty is not just a mask,
I want to exorcise the demons from your past,
I want to satisfy the undisclosed desires in your heart

This is a man speaking to the woman he loves. She has a dark, painful past. Her lovers have hurt her, ignored her. She feels lost and wasted. This man, who truly loves her, assures her that he will make everything alright. He will make her feel pure again. She hides her real self and shows everyone that she is wicked, selfish. Perhaps to make herself feel and appear strong. But he is telling her that there is no need to hide. He will take away all her pain and drive away her demons. He will satisfy her every desire. Her desire to be desired, loved, cherished.

He wants to help her (assuming 'you' is a girl), most likely to allow him to love her, to let him in. Because of the past hurt and (assuming) heart break, she has closed herself up inside. He knows how she feels, he (assuming) knows that place himself, and "it's a cold and loveless" place.
Another interpretation: there is a girl (assuming) that makes herself seem unlovable: "you trick your lovers, that you're wicked and divine, you may be a sinner, but your innocence is mine. " this may be because of how she's been hurt by (assuming) love before, and doesn't want it to happen again: "i know you've suffered, but i don't want you to hide... "
No matter what it is, this is a wonderful song; I feel that many people suffer wtih a similar problem. If you are, remember that you are not alone, and there is someone out there that does truely love you. Find the strength to keep waiting~.

It can be a song about love between a man and a prostitute. Her life was tough, so he want to reconcile the violent in her heart and to exorcise the "demons" that abuse her difficult past. He wants to discover that there is some valuable personality beyond the mask of the simply cute girl. "She may be a sinner but her innocence is him" - I think that these words mean that he loves her, no matter she does.

Uprising (Lyrics are pretty blatant), Resistance, United States of Eurasia (New World Order warning, the plan is for the global elite to form the three supercountries of the North American Union, the Europian Union, and the Asian Union), Unnatural Selection [look up Georgia Guidestones, notice the two theories on who created it. It's like. Masons or Rosicrucians (a heavy influence in ancient scottish rite masonic tradition)], mk Ultra (Cia mind control program, put it in Wikipedia, variations are still ongoing. If you think the cia just stopped the experiment and threw away the results, I lol at you.) Wake up and look around people. S*t is fucked. And it's not by accident. Think about how politics is split into two very polarized parties that most Americans don't really fit into. Then they just have these f*****g hotsheets of talking points, and then they hold elections to give the American people some sort of illusion of autocracy. But it's an illusion. Our govt is crippled. Obama is easily the worst president we've ever had. He is a ultra-charismatic, sociopath, used as a puppet by the elite. And it f*****g worked awesomely for them. Just go look for some of this information for yourself, and come to your own conclusions. Just don't watch the mainstream news and trick yourself into thinking you're informed.

I agree with fleeting touch. It such a great song. I know their songs shouldn't just be popular because Stephenie Meyer loves them but music is an art form, an expression of ones self and it can be interpreted differently by each person. If someone wants to relate the song to the books then I don't aee why that's a problem. Its the same as it relating to a failed relationship with your partner, its just an interpretation and everyone is entitled to their opinion. People shouldn't be burnt at the stake everytime they compare a song to Twilight.

To be honest, this song always sounds very dark and sexual when I listen to it, and although it doesn't take much thought to say the song is about s** ("please me", "tease me"...) I really do believe it's a man's thoughts about his lady friend. Maybe she always tries to present herself as being really put together and level-headed but he knows she has a troubled past. He wants to help her let go of whatever's bothering her while simultaneously learning more about her/giving in to her deepest, darkest pleasures. Whatever you think the song's about, it's fantastic and Muse is the bomb.

I think any song can be applied to lens of our own life, and having had a relationship end shortly before this song was released my take is influenced by my paradigm. I would say it is about a person that wants a wounded bird to open up. Its all the chorus. Reconcile your violence, recognize your beauty (literally and their heart) is not a mask(you show people), exorcise your demons(move on), and I will satisfy the undisclosed desires of your heart (do my best to make you happy).

This is a man who is fascinated by a woman who he's recently met and he believes he has figured out her troubles. And not only that, he is convinced that he can make things work out with her, he is really optimistic about how he would get alng with her and her past. I think he doesn't know the true meaning of being deeply disturbed and he doesn't believe thing are that bad. He will be disappointed eventually, when he realizes that she cannot tret him any different than other men in her life before.

Makes me think about my first girl friend, she got with girls after we broke up but from many signs she's been giving me since we've been hanging out after 7 years of no communication she still loves me and can't hide her feelings for me, she brought back many feelings that I thought were gone. I want to see if we could make it work but I feel like it would be cruel since she's with someone and I'm going in the military for 6 years. I am not giving a meaning, just what it makes me think about, and a way of asking advice discreetly I guess.

To me shows some the emotions a teenagers goes through. Shows how they love and want to get push the others past that hurt them away. How they wish to calm the storm in each others heart but know that they beauty is not just on the outside, but on the inside as well. They want to make there lover feel pure.
~this is a very moving song if you truly think on each verse to find the real meaning in it. ~

It's about understanding and empathizing in relationships, although targeted at romantic involvements it also has wider reaching implications about seeing fellow human beings, past the jading life gives all of us. The lyrics (to me) present an idealistic vision of trying to fulfill another's "undisclosed desires" which would recquire a deep understanding and implicit trust, articulated in the songs lyrics through a romantic commitment, but presenting an ideology largely nonexistent in modern (western) society.
The music perfectly fits the lyrics, the pizzicato strings leaves a feeling of incompletion or abruptness, which carries an unfulfilled weight which stirs the listner (or me at least) with promise of harmony delivered with the sweeping fills and melodic bass riffs.

This song is about my boyfriend and me. He knows I've suffered so much, with my ex, so that it sometimes make me want to hide from the"cold and loveless"world outside, but he wants to take care of me out there and help me show the world what I'm capable of.
Soothing my pain, he knows he can make me feel pure, unlike me ex. He knows it's hard for me to trust anyone anymore, but he assures me trusting him would be right.
He wants to tame my heart, to persuade me I'm beautiful on the inside too, to make those bad memories and nightmares from my past stop haunting me go away, to make my secret dream come true: to love me.
After all that I've been through, I just like to make guys think I'm innocent and make them respect me, by pretending I'm perfect and not letting my true self show. The truth is I'm guilty, I'm a sinner, but he's the only one who's ever really known me.
And he wants me to love him back.

Y'all prolly gonna 'burn me on the stake' for this. But I must point out. Muse does has something to do with Twilight. 1, There songs appear on the soundtracks. 2, the lead singer wrote his own version of "Bella's Lullaby" & 3, they are there, cause they want to be.
I really do not understand why people say "Muse doesn't have anything to do with Twilight!! "They are way better then Twilight" etc. -.-
Y'all think cause Twilight is "Homo" and full of "faggots" You think Muse it too good for it? Yeaaa, well, If Muse didn't want there songs on the sound tracks They'd say No, when asked if they could have there songs on there.
Get over it, They are on the soundtracks and have to do with Twilight.
Cry to someone who cares. Harsh, but y'all are worse then me when it comes to comments and songs. Sure, rate me down, comment back with nasty stuff. Still won't make me change my opinion. : P.
    Just sayin'.

I love Twilight, but I've loved Muse for so much longer. It really annoys me when people say they are a fan of Muse because they like supermassive black hole and I belong to you. I love this song and it's on of my favourites on their album The Resistance. I personally don't see the need to compare every Muse song with Twilight, when the meaning of most of their songs don't even relate to themes of Twilight. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but this is mine.

I hate people compare the meaning of muse songs with twilight reaaly it sucks I mean they existed before that and not all that they write is about it not even some ofthe songs of the soundtrack of the movie please the band didn't want to sing so much I belong to you because that song was written for the movie not just because they wanted to so stooop it is disgusting. Their music rock so stop putting the band together with twilight everytime just beacuse the autor of the books like them.

There are some doors in the corner of her heart which she is afraid to visit into and then comes a person who decides to drive away all her problems. All she has to do, is share her problems, let open her feelings, trust this person and he shall be the great savior at her service. Her every crime is divine to him, her every sin never restrains him to believe in her innocence. He is there for her no matter what. So gal, what else do you need?

    I reckon that this song is about loving someone that has had a bad past, and want to make what they desire a reality, kina fulfilling their most deep dreams to bring them closer. It is also about forgiveness;
"i want to reconcile the violence in your heart" reconcile means forgive, so its like starting afresh.
One of the best songs on the album, and the artwork is imense ♥ muse ftw!

He's human and she's a vampire. Makes sense; She's suffered from turning, she's cold and loveless but he wants to help her be a better person because he loves her unconditionally. Violence in her heart= nature of being a vampire, Beauty= She's even more beautiful on the inside than she is on the outside, Demons from her past= her murderous history from when she was first turned, Undisclosed desires= The desire between them aka love. (; just my thoughts.
