Powerwolf – Venom Of Venus lyrics
Venom of Venus take us all for blind
Bringer of poison for the heart and mind
Never resist when your eyes inflame the wild
Venom of Venus or a fairytale
Sing of temptation when sirens wail
Out of our minds by the wonders you unveil

Come blessed desire bring us all to fail

We are the cursed we came form fire and ice
We are the first to kill the sinner for lies
We are the blessed, we crave the venom of Venus for life
All our life
We are the sword we tame the fire, the flame
We hail the lord we fear no rebel, no pain
We are possessed we have the venom of Venus in veins

Venom of Venus inundate our veins
Eradicate minds till only lust remains
Set us ablaze like the wake of hurricanes
Venom of Venus lead us all astray
Bring us the sin before the martyrs pray
Let it begin by the dawn of our judgement day

We are the cursed we came form fire and ice
We are the first to kill the sinner for lies
We are the blessed, we crave the venom of Venus for life
All our life
We are the sword we tame the fire, the flame
We hail the lord we fear no rebel, no pain
We are possessed we have the venom of Venus in veins

And in the eye of all the believing
Lead us straight to the curse divine
And by the time our hearts are healing
Inject the poison in our minds

We are the cursed we came form fire and ice
We are the first to kill the sinner for lies
We are the blessed, we crave the venom of Venus for life
We are the sword we tame the fire, the flame
We hail the lord we fear no rebel, no pain
We are possessed we have the venom of Venus in veins

Venom of Venus has an anti-pornography message, or at least anti-immorality. The very title of the track references how obsession with women is a poison (venom is a direct linguistic descendant from "Venus").
The second line of the song calls it "bringer of poison for the heart and mind". Almost universally, Christian theology considers pornography a deadly poison to both the heart, as it taints men's perception of women from being equal helpers to simply objects of pleasure, and mind, since it is as addictive as tobacco or alcohol. I understand that while Powerwolf is not a Christian band, they often use Christian themes, language, and messaging in their music (and are notably not critical of it).
Much of the rest of the song reinforces the message. Another notable inclusion in the first verse is "Sing of temptation when the sirens wail". Sirens were, in Greek mythology, beautiful women who lived underwater that would sing to sailors trying to get them to jump overboard and drown. This reinforces the idea that the "Venom of Venus" is simply a trap and will destroy those who succumb to its call.
The chorus is largely discussing how even "righteous" people still suffer from the desire to taste the venom (that is, watch porn) all their lives.
The second verse includes a couple of notable lines. "Eradicate minds 'til only lust remains" again refers to the addictive quality of porn and how it can slowly consume the mind until it is the dominant thought. "Set us ablaze like the wake of hurricanes" brings to mind the punishment for lust in Hell and Purgatory in Dante's The Divine Comedy. In hell, the lustful are thrown about by violent winds, suffering their following of the winds of passion in life, corresponding to the "wake of hurricanes" line. In purgatory, Dante wrote that the penitents were burned free of their earthly lusts-"Set us ablaze".
The bridge has a notable line calling the venom "the curse divine". In the mind of those caught in addiction to pornography, it is both a curse, as it poisons all of their relationships, and a blessing because of how good they feel.
Hopefully this makes sense. This isn't am exhaustive analysis of the song but hopefully my thoughts are explained well enough to be understood.

Women being considered mean, harmful and the ones who committed the original sin was an extremely common topic on European literature from the beginning of christianity up to the 17th century and up. Considering this I think that this song is talking about that theme as a whole (also note that powerwolf is a German band so they probably know at least a bit about the topic)

Well, personally I think there is no real meaning behind those or any other of Powerwolf's song's lyrics. They are lustful undead werewolves priests, and that's pretty much it. They used this theme in many other songs, such as Sacrament of Sin or Sacramental Sister. I don't criticize them, sometimes there is no need for the song to be deep, especially in the power metal genre.

Is it only me that reads this song in a Romantic way? And when I say “Romantic”, I mean this song could be also a Romanticism Manifesto. The lyrics full of energy and focused on human emotions, especially love, that is the key of the entire song. It is also filled with concepts that recall love in some unconventional ways, like the Sirens that wails for example. This song tells to mankind the power of Love, that is not only a source of good, but brings also with it some negative aspects, like the total loss of reasoning that can affect a man or a woman in love. But I think this is not only some kind of warning about the force of Love, minimally. This is, again, the Romanticism Manifesto, like a poem written by a Romantic author where he summons Venus, the goddess of Love, and ask her to be possessed by Love, because being possessed by strong feelings was what this kind of writers really desired. Living a life where strong emotions animated them was the key of their existence.
