Mazzy Star – Roseblood lyrics
Everyday you can see
Changes in her hair and smile
I can wait a million days
While her smile goes away

Sometimes I feel dizzy
By (the slices in her hand)
Secrets in her (lipstick mouth)
(shiny or/shining on) never again
(shiny or/shining on) never again

Capture a smile and then that's all
You won't know her so it's ok
Funny how things change
Funny how things change

To me this is one of the best songs of Mazzy's. Her voice just so ethereal, mesmerizing. The whole tone is just amazing and superbly beautiful. I met a girl whom I feel so in love with without even knowing her in a deeper sense - and this song captures that somehow - how I would look at her, her smile and detail - just mesmerized - and I wanted to know her more deeply than anyone - but by the time I said anything she had found another to walk with and I felt so defeated. And Hopes voice captures these feelings.
