I think the song is about death. As the line said "time will eventually knock on my door, and tell me I'm not needed around anymore." so it basically means smile and live, do what makes you happy because you'll never know when your time is up in this world.

Meditation on God. The master creator with a universal plan which makes all things evolve and live together carrying out his work but mostly their own. So if you slow down and listen you can hear him. Focas on the light and the purposes that he's put you here for. He always says in word to quiet yourself, get away from the world and focus on him. He will guide you, trust me.
