This song is very depressing song. I feel its about a girl that dies before her time. They had all these plans together and were ready to spend eternity in each other's love. Yet, life has a way of messing things up.
Now she is dead and gone, and he can't come to terms with it. He never promised that he would always wait for her, but he can't seem to move on. He continues on with life trying to move on, but feels contantly haunted by her ghost. The only way for them to be together now is for him to die. So, he sits around remembering all the things that were never said and never done, waiting for his time when he can be with her again.

The meaning of this song is that when you have a lover going to war you should cherish every moment with them and if you are in the war with a friend or so a -brother- event then don't forget to tell them you love them or anything like that cause if not and you die it will forever be unsaid,
and when the say at the end of the world, or the last thing I see I think means that the last time 'they' see 'them' is pretty much the end of the world if they don't come back :((

This song is such a moving song. The way it's sung and the lyrics. But why I love it most is that it's real, it says the things some people need to deal with but never speak of it. In this song it. Well, it shows death or suicide from the other person's side. Makes you think of who you are going to leave behind and that, in a sense, you're 'never coming home' because you can't.
To understand a song like this you need to have been in a state of mind that wants to die or been around someone that would feel that way. I have felt suicidal before and the only things stopping me were who I'd leave behind and mcr. (i know that sounds cliche but it's true).
I don't know, we all have our opinions and this is mine, don't like it don't bother.
Oh and the video made me cry, mainly because mikey died.

I mainly agree with most of you people except the people who keep talkin about war stuff, but still you guys have a good point. I think it's about these two lovers who had all these plans of what they were goin to do after they settled down and got married. "yet life has a way of messing things up..." how sad. I think this is one of their good songs. I think this kind of relates back to the song Helena also. I think he's still talkin bout his grandma. Keep rockin mcr!

It's about a girl who kills herself and her lover is devastated.
Now, I'm not sure about the whole war theme, but maybe he's going to war so he can die. Maybe he wants to die, but is to afraid to kill himself? Just a thought. Not sure if that's the point of the song.
Eh typical mcr. They're music is sometimes hard to decipher and that's what makes them so awesome!
