Nightmare Before Christmas – Sally's Song lyrics
I sense there's something in the wind
That feels like tragedy's at hand

And though I'd like to stand by him
Can't shake this feeling that I have

The worst is just around the bend

And does he notice my feelings for him?
And will he see how much he means to me?
I think it's not to be

What will become of my dear friend?
Where will his actions lead us then
?
Although I'd like to join the crowd
In their enthusiastic cloud
Try as I may, it doesn't last

And will we ever end up together?
no, I think not, it's never to become
For I am not the one

Actually listen to the song over and over again tell I wrote it out, performed it on my saxophone and my guitar at two separate concert. I love the song. Anyways the song is such a deep powerful song everybody as felt this way thinking, I'm not good enough, they can't love me it's impossible, and no matter what I do no matter how much I hope you dream they're not going to love me back and there's nothing I can do about it. The song of those people who don't feel like they're number one or that they're pretty it shows em that no matter who you are you will find love. Because everyone will find their jack or sally because it doesn't matter how weird you are. It matters if your willing to show your weirdness off.

In this song, Sally feels that things with Christmas are going to wind up going terribly wrong for Jack. She is really saddened over the fact that Jack could get hurt, or even worse, turned to dust. But we also manage to feel some empathy for her in this song. When Jack sang his lament after the start of the movie, the audience could clearly feel some empathy for him because he was bored to tears about doing routines every year and wanting something more in his life (or afterlife). In fact, Sally is the only character who feels empathy for Jack once he finishes his lament. Here in Sally's song, many people, especially people who have had crushes on someone are meant to feel empathy for Sally because she feels at this point Jack could care less about her, and more about Christmas. Even in the context of Disney, Sally is possibly one of the most empathetic characters ever written. Because Sally is not a princess, she's not perfect, and she's not all decorated in jewels and gems, she's an ordinary girl in love with the king of Halloween and is completely unsure if he will even be able to survive Christmas, or even know if he loves her back.

Sally feels things are going to end up badly and no one is listening to her. She repeatedly tries to stop Jack, but she fails every time. She also has emotions for Jack and doesn't know if Jack feels the same way. She is in love with him, but doesn't know how he feels. She blames herself and says that she is not "the one." I really feel bad for her. They do fall in love, though so I don't have to be sad.

I believe it's a beautiful song, created masterfully! The song itself gets deep into Sally's emotions about Jack and particularly about his wild ideas for Christmas. About what might happen to him if he will or won't be able to pull it off?! But it's mainly about Sally's feelings for Jack because obviously she has fallen in love with the most talented king of Halloween!
