Peggy Seeger – Miss Heroin lyrics
So now little man you've grown tired of grass
Mescaline, Cocaine, Acid and Hash
Here's someone pretending to be your friend
Let me introduce you to Miss Heroin

Well sweetie before you start fooling with me
Let me inform you how it will be
Don't get no illusions, you'll be my slave
I've sent men much stronger than you to their grave

And when I have entered deep down in your veins
Craving me always will drive you insane
You'd sell your own mother to pay for my charms
And rock in contentment with me in your arms

And when you realise the monster you've grown
You'll solemnly promise to leave me alone
Do you think you're special, got some kind of knack
Wait 'til you try getting me off your back

The vomits the cramps your guts tied in a knot
And every nerve screaming for one little shot
The hot sweats the cold chills the withdrawal pains
All are relieved by my little white grains

And when you return just as I have foretold
You'll bring me your body, your conscience your soul
You'll bring me your future, your freedom your heart
And you will be mine until death do us part

I didn't mind when people used my poem as unknown author. But as I see people putting their name to it, it upsets me greatly! It was a personal poem. My book of poems and songs were taken from me! I have the original that I wrote it on! And if it helps people that makes me happy but please don't put your name to something that isn't yours! (I can carbon date my work and I know what goofballs are! I Am 49 now and I did write this! I just wish people would quit saying they did! I have the original paper I even wrote it on. Kept I my name off it, because at the time, I was rebuilding my life and back then it was look at as tabooo. But if anyone wants to test the paper ect. More than happy to have them do it.

I am upset too. Back in the early 1970's I met a girl at ft Ben Harrison in Indianapolis. She wrote this poem and gave it to me and I told her I would put it to music. I never did but now with retirement looming I've decided to and I find that people are claiming its there's. I'm not giving my name or hers as now I am trying to locate her. When I do she will get credit for writing it. I can't believe how low some people will stoop. If I find that somebody has stolen it I will be contacting the authorities.
