Radiohead – Good Morning Mr. Magpie lyrics
You know you should
But you don't
You know you should
But you don't

You got some nerve
Comin' here
You got some nerve
Comin' here

Good morning, Mr. Magpie
How are we today?
They've stolen all my magic
And took my melody

This song is actually about a bird- a magpie to be precise, that had made a habit out of stealing shiny things from thom yorke. On this particular morning, the thieving bird was tapping at his window.
The line, "you've got some nerve comin' here" is a rueful statement that yorke supposedly made aloud, as if the animal would understand.
Feeling alone, he talks to the bird since there's nobody else to listen.
I think it's cool that this song is based off of a little moment like that.
