Burning down one side was probably a studio remark by plant about burning down side 1 of the lp with the torrid rock on this album. In this song he's on again about discovering that mystery girl, Roberta, he keeps harping on. There does seem to be an whole double life to the lyrics as opposed to these, which I've found to be the "official" lyrics.
