Its just about how people judge you without ever knowing your story, your pain. They just see your skin (outside apearance) and don't care about whats inside. But make judgements on how you look. And sixx am is saying no matter how you are on the outisde if you treat others kindly, that your skin doesn't matter and your beautiful. The inside is the real you and changes who the monster and whos the man. Whos the beautiful ones and whos the ugly ones.

I believe that this song is about the struggles of someone with a bad, destructive, or otherwise undesirable past. The said person may have done something horrible or undesirable, but is a good person on the inside. And the fact is that most people only pay attention to your outward appearance or past or whatever is undesirable about you. To me at least, this song seems to be describing the struggles of someone with a difficult past that people judge them for, despite being a good person on the inside. The past deeds of a person could be described as the skin or the scars in this song.

My meaning is I have always been bullied for my appearence and for being overweight, haven't ate a real meal in about two weeks now and I'm starving and when I listened to this I went back to eating because people shouldnt judge me. I'm also pansexual and people know. I'm afraid of showing it though and somone started a rumor about me being in a relationship with my best friend brittany and she doesn't care. Because shes my best friend. She was freaked out but still talks to me.

Really I think the meaning is that no one knows who you really are, and theres maybe just a few people who have got an idea who you are but maybe the song was aimed at someone he knows saying let people know you and they'll love you, not the outside you that everyone thinks you are. Lol hard to explain but that's what I think, my friend let me hear it and she said that the lyrics describe me really well. And I was like what?! So I listened to it and I was amazed at how beautiful it was: 3 x

I think this song is about people who self harm. Saying that there can be people who have been through a lot in life, but they can be the nicest people. Just because they have scars, it shows that they're still alive. Don't let people judge you for what you've been put through. Just be a kind, nice person and show them that you're strong and can take on anything. Having scars doesn't show a weakness, it shows that you've been through a lot, but you've made it.
