    A child lives in a broken home, learns to deal with the blows by developing an outer shell that no one can break through, nor in the end can she break out of. A child whose parents were so consumed in their own emotional and physical issues, they failed to give their child the tools to deal with real life and real people. Instead of giving her brushes to paint her world with color, they gave her axes to tear it down to nothing. The child learned to stand alone, because she never had anyone to lean on, no one who cared really about the anger and stoicity that was developing inside. Standing alone makes one lonely eventually. That child, doesn't know how to deal with adult emotions, and resorts to other things to ease the pain and cope. Eventually, even that isn't enough to drive it all away. Like today.
