The Bible, especially in the Book of Romans, says a lot about "dying to yourself". But what does it mean by that? The idea is that in order to be done with your sinful ways, that part of you must die. Unfortunately, in order to kill the sinful part of you, you'd have to kill, well, you. But Jesus found a way around that when he bore your sin on the cross. Galatians 2:20 says, "I [Paul] have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me." So when we let our sinful selves die away, Christ lives in us, and through Him we truly live. So therefore, "dying" is living.
