    Well where I come from charlie birger is a respected man and legend, it is true he was responcible for the deaths of about 100 people all in all but as per say his killings are only about 9 or 10. (most in self defence) the rest was done by his gang by his order or during shootouts during the gang war birger vs shelton gang.
    Charlie's famous words during a jailhouse interview: yeah I've killed poeple, but never a good one is mostly true if you research him.
    Most of the people he killed himself was either drunkards, lowlifes, thieves, or enemy gangsters.
    All in all he was hung for ordering the murder of a man that wasn't too worthy himself.
    Had he just been imprisoned for life we wonder. Would charlie birger have grew to the legend he is today? Would people speak so highly of him and his actions? Would so many books have been wrote of him and his exploits?
