You guyes should really read the sermon these lines are from. Google this stuff. When he says "other thrones" he means every position in power the world (in christianity the "world" is synonymous with all those who are not saved). The thrones of the world will be dealt with by god and only the great white throne of god shall remain.

Could be all of those. Maybe also meaning how God should be the only one answered to, no false idols and materialism. To many people are corrupt nowadays including some in religion unfortunately. Some instead of seeing them as a service to the people they see themselves as the hand of God somehow and it goes to their head. A man of God should hold himself to a higher standard, not somehow expect more of others than they would do themselves.
