    Though the song Discord is actually supposed to tie into the world of MLP and relate to the chaotic character, Discord himself, it could actually tie into many other things as well. For example, one theory is that Discord could also tie into Weirdmaggedon caused by Bill cipher in the TV show Gravity Falls. This theory was the one I was introduced to first. In all honesty, every lyric does make sense with that theory. For example, "I'm not a fan of puppeteers but I've a nagging fear someone else is pulling on the strings" and "Discord, are we your prey alone, or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?" Both connect perfectly with the events that occur during Weirdmaggedon. I also like to think that this song may be about feeling like you are crazy or insane. The lyrics may not connect as clearly, but if you look closely, maybe you can find what I saw when you look at the bigger picture. Though it is unlikely, this song could also connect to conspiracy theories, which are often told to be pulling at the fabric of our reality and messing with with our heads. "Pulling on the strings", as the song said. I apologise if this sounded lame or hard to follow, but I tried. For those with creative minds, I encourage you to delve into this more and come up with your own theories! I had a lot of fun writing this.

    I legit thought this song was about the app discord... Well, that was my own mistake.
    Even though it's not about the app I still think it relates to the app. The app is absolute chaos, is destroying people's lives, and can cause anarchy.
    I love discord (the app I mean) and use it a lot, but I also think that it’s destruction.

    On the original song's YouTube video, the thumbnail is discord from MLP, and a lot of it actually relates to MLP the character discord is a villain and has caused a lot of chaos.
    So I personally agree with that one. Plus, the creator of the original song is called "Eurobeat Brony.". And a brony is basically an adult guy who watches and likes MLP.

    I honestly don't think the meaning really fits with the song so I'm just going to listen to it for all I care.

    I originally thought that Discord was the name of a god of some sort, but then I realized how stupid I was.

    I agree with the MLP theory, honestly. Especially since the original song was literally showing pictures of ponies during the song ;-;

    But I also agree with the US government theory.

    I personally think this is about the My Little Pony character Discord because Discord did a lot of things that are mentioned in this all such as turning them into puppets chaos that's why he said he's not a fan of puppeteers and he thinks someone else is pulling the strings to his life,there is also an episode where he turned the whole town into total chaos and made it so different. There was also a time he started freezing people Which why he was saying he can't move at all "i curse the name the one behind it all" talking about how discord is the reason for all chaos,Discord was also a big fan of the dark/night and sleeping which is why he said discord I'm howling at the moon and sleeping in the middle of the Summer Afternoon. Now skip ahead far and it also talks about being stepping Stones to get to the throne talking about when he tried to take over the castle and uses friends as "props" it also could could be referring about how he was stone for years. He also talks about the world being torn apart referring to how discords Dimension has holes in it that are portals,then says what a terrifying work of art because Discord used to refer to this chaos as art. Sorry if this is hard to read or follow but this is what I thought it meant.

    I'm an idiot. At first I thought it was about the app discord, and how it was taking over people lives and making them loose sleep "sleeping in the middle of a summer afternoon". Now I have looked at other people's theories and i;
    1.feel like an idiot
    2.kinda feel like the mlp in kinda stupid (not trying to critisise anyone just my opinion)
    3 don't really care about the meaning and I'm just goona listen to the song for now.
    At first I was just gonna write something short or a funny comment, but it kinda feels good to get that off my chest. It's now 7:30 and I'm probably going to be late to work

    Sounds like a very ominous look at our current reality. The state of our current US government and how majority of citizens are starting to feel. A puppeteer pulling at the strings as our government unilaterally dictates what jobs we can work, our energy sources, soon how we vote, taking our police away while also wanting to take away guns. Limiting our freedom of speech. Is that not tyranny?

    Now to bas off of the first one gravity falls is a very good point but if I'm not mistaken gravity falls also connects to something else. One thing I did not know is that it was a MLP song. My sister watched before and I would always tune in when this discord guy appeared cause he was interesting as you could say. The meaning I really think is what the previous guy is saying but 10x deeper. The song definitely connects to different reality for sure. The gravity falls theory is correct by no doubt at all. So does this mean these multiverse are connected in some way. They both have odd magic, extremely weird villains, and time lines being similar.
