The Sound Of Music – Do-Re-Mi lyrics
let's start at the very beginning
a very good place to start
when you read you begin with abc
when you sing you begin with do re mi
do re mi
the first three notes just happen to be
do re mi do re mi
do re mi fa so la te
do- a deer, a female deer
re- a drop of golden sun
mi- a name i call myself
fa- a long long way to run
so- a needle pulling thread
la- a note to follow so
te- a drink with jam and bread
that'll bring us back to do oh oh oh
do- a deer, a female deer
re- a drop of golden sun
mi- a name I call myself
fa- a long long way to run
so- a needle pulling thread
la- a note to follow so
te- a drink with jam and bread
that'll bring us back to
do oh oh oh

I feel happy about the song it makes me enjoy it. The children liked it and so did adults. "Do Re Mi" is a good song it's all about the Von Trapp living in Austria. It's my favorite song too. I like "Do Re Mi" too. Everyone will love it too.

Oh wow the unregistered user from May 4th, 2015 is really stretching it in my opinion. Not everything is about God and not every song can find relation to Her. I, personally, think that this is just a cute little song to teach children how to sing simple things. This song taught me how to sing when I was younger and I still sing a lot today. I'm not saying that this song can't be about God but I think that explanation is just like English teachers finding a reason for the character in a classic novel to sit by the fire beside the fact that it's winter and they might just be cold.

Yes. I love this song. If your children are in any singing group and need to learn the sulfage ladder. Have them listen to this! It helped me memorize it in under two days. It is also a great song to learn to sing! The order is do re mi fa so la ti do! And you can go as high or low as you want! This ladder can go for infinity!
