Toad The Wet Sprocket – Crazy Life lyrics
Music by todd nichols and toad. Lyrics by glen phillips. Lead vocals: todd.

Anyway now, it don't seem right
He is in there and you're on the outside
Over pine ridge to wounded knee
There's blood on the ground as far as you see
Crazy life

In the air I'm sensing a change in the weather
In the end the path is clear
Does anyone remember here
Did you all think he'd just disappear
Crazy life
What have you done with peltier
Who did you think you'd taken away
Crazy life

In the air I'm sensing a change in the weather
In the end the path is clear

Burying won't stop it breathing forever
Underground it takes to root

Anyway, it don't seem right
He is in there and you're on the outside
What have you done with peltier
Who did you think you'd taken away
It's not over...

This song is about a scoundrel named Leonard Peltier, who, through clever manipulation by the corrupt liberal media, has become a "martyr" for the causes of the American Indian. Nearly all the information in the media and on the net is patently false and depicts Peltier as a peace-loving native who's only bitch is the White Man getting-over on his people. In-fact, I am from the Wounded Knee area and can tell you that he is passionately hated around here and would be killed by his own people if he was able to convince the Feds to grant parole or clemency. The so-called Wounded Knee occupation of 1973 was actually a violent takeover by AIM, Peltier was a charter member. You see the village was already "occupied" by peace-loving natives who were just trying to survive, day to day. They looted the village, burned their own museum, beat, robbed and killed their own innocent people. Don't believe me though, come out here and ask around.
