Usher – Climax lyrics
Going nowhere fast
We've reached the climax
We're together, now we're undone
Won't commit so we choose to

Run away, do we separate (oh)
Don't wanna give in
So we both gave up
Can't take it back
It's too late we've reached the climax, climax

I've fallen somehow, feet off the ground
Love is the blow, that keeps raining down
Where are you now? When I need you around
I'm on my knees but it seems we're

Going nowhere fast
We've reached the climax
We're together, now we're undone
Won't commit so we choose to

Run away, do we separate (oh)
Don't wanna give in
So we both gave up
Can't take it back
It's too late we've reached the climax, climax

I gave my best, it wasn't enough
You kept on saying we argue too much

We made our best of what used to be love
Why do I care, I care at all, at all, at all, at all

Going nowhere fast
We've reached the climax
We're together, now we're undone
Won't commit so we choose to

Run away, do we separate (oh)
Don't wanna give in
So we both gave up
Can't take it back
It's too late we've reached the climax, climax

You say, it's better if we love each other separately
I just need you one more time
I can't get what we had out my mind
Where are you now? When I need you around
I'm on my knees but it seems we're

Going nowhere fast
We've reached the climax
We're together, now we're undone
Won't commit so we choose to

Run away, do we separate (oh)
Don't wanna give in
So we both gave up
Can't take it back
It's too late we've reached the climax, climax

A boy and a girl. They've been together for a while. Through the years, they've seen hard times. They're only human, so like anyone else, they've made mistakes. Mistakes that they've forgiven, but not forgot even though they've tried there hardest to. After everything's build up, a past full of love and hate. They want each other more then anything in the world, but they're both finding it hard to trust each other and move past the insecurities they've brought upon each other. They love each other more than anything, but how can they be happy when they're constantly thinking about the past?

I think this song is about how he and a girl are in are in a relationship for a long period of time. He loves her, and she loves him. However, trouble between them begins to happen, and the stress and pressure of their troubles causes him to want to leave her. So they break up. As time goes on, he realizes that dating other people isn't helping his empty heart. He hasn't seen her around like he used to see her and they don't talk at all. Later he finds out she has relocated somewhere else. All this time he is missing her, wanting her, and crying over her because he still loves her deeply and wants her back. 10 months or more go by with absolute no contact with her, and then one day he decides to randomly give her a phone call. He calls telling her that he still loves and misses her. He says he still wants to be with her. She listens to what he says and her heart longs for him like its been longing for him. Although she still loves him with all her heart, she tells him that they've reached a climax. Basically she thinks that it's time to move on from him although she still loves him. He wishes he didn't leave her or end the relationship. He realized he made a big mistake in leaving her, seeing how he still loves her and can't move on but she is taking a big step foward and finally moving on. He wishes they could get back together because they both still love each other but realizes the love of his life has walked away and he'll never ever have her back. They've reached the climax. They move their seperate ways, hearts still full of love, as well as pain.
Advice to those going through tough times: fight! Fight the problems you might face with your boyfriend or girlfriend. Don't ruin something speacial because times get tough. You'll regret it later. Whether you're the person who left the love of your life or you're the one sitting and having to tell the love of your life you've reached a climax and you don't want to be with them anymore despite still loving them and longing for them.

Many people think the song "climax" by usher is about s** it's not! Its really about an ultimate experience or lack thereof or a finale of an experience of love and life. When you are in a relationship or what you figure to be in a relationship and its kinda reached the climax to where you want it to go. You have to let it go if you are not going to commit. That's what the song is about! Its my fav. Its about reaching the peak. The "climax" of an relationship its up to you do we commitment or like the song says "do we separate". It's up to you!

Seems to me they are at a cross roads of a long, love&hate filled relationship. They don't know if they can live with each other any longer but can't imagine ending it. So they take a break to figure out the future and bam, outta nowhere he meets another girl that is everything he's wanted the ex to B. But, he's still not sure what to do, he doesn't want to give up on the ex until she tells him she's definitely done or they agree to end it. But this amazing new chick is weighing heavy on his mind. Finally he decides he's not waiting on a mutual decision and he's giving in.

I love this record maybe more than anything else usher has done to this point. That's a monumental statement considering the many monstrous he has had in his stellar career. I appreciate his growth as an artist and as a man. We(men) suffer and hurt for love and its often misinterpreted or sadly not recognized at all. I salute you usher for taking what seems at first to be another tired s** song(only because of the title) and gave it such meaning, feeling and something relatable. I hope that you continue to share your pain, experiences and eloquently vocalize our vulnerablities and angst. Kp.

I think climax is about a couple who have reached a point in their relationship when things are starting to be revealed. Clearly, she was in love with him but he wasn't and then he realized that he was in love with her and by then she has decided that it is time for them to go their separate ways. But the only thing about that is neither one of them wants to call it quits. He claims to not care that much but he does and she claims that maybe they should love each other from afar.

    Its a doomed relationship.
They both felt incredibly strong emotions for one another and he realised he had begun to fall for her. But couldn't commit to a long term relationship. So they ran away when it got too hard.
They can't give in to love, possibly because its not the right time, or they have both been hurt before. He sees love as 'a cloud raining down'. His fear of love is obvious.
So they just drift. Until drifing is no longer enough. The emotion built so much (climax), that the next step would be love. Neither wanted it, so they ran, and turned away from eachother.
He knows what it was, what they had, but also knows that the closeness they had can never be had again. Because now its ruined, tarnished by them walking away from eachother. But, he still thinks about her, still longs for her! Its tragic.

I like this last meaning. Climax means a peak or hight of somthing. This guy was her lover befor but as time goes on they both moved their seperat ways but now her thoughts came to him strongly and now he is in search for her. He don't mind killing anyone who stands in his way just to have her back. In his mind everything is so complecated that he could do somthing stupid. Like twilight she has imprinted on him and now he is subconciously bound to her. She can make him into anything she wan't, its left for her to decide. But he deeply wants her

I think that uhmm, first let me state that there is a such thing as love but I so happen to think that the relationship he had with that someone is basically done but in that song hes stating that he still I guess wanna be in that relationship with that person but if she doesn't then its over between them. In my casonario I think that this is a beuatiful song I love it is one of my favorite songs ever!

The meaning to this song is. The guy and the girl built there realationship till the could not any more. They reached the peak of their relationship and now its going down hill. What else can they do other that fuss and argue all day. They love each other but can't stand to be. None of them want to break up because they keep avoiding it. They avoided it so much till it just happend. There realtion ship was no more. Now the guy is in need of the girl one more time but she wont come back. There is heart ache and sorrow.

Climax means that we hit a point in the relationshiip where we have to make a choice. Sometimes some people arent meant for each other and the only thing that makes sense to do is the one thing you don't want to do because it hurts. So you'd rather stay miserable together than separate. Love is so complicated. But we all have a climax. And then we hit the lights. Shows over. Oh well.
