My daughter left me for drugs. I always thought we would be together until the end of my life. Now I have to live my older age without her. I miss her. I wish she would come home. But the drugs have her now. I wonder every day how and where she is. If she came home I would be so happy but I don't think she can face me. I just wish she could. I forgive her. For everything. I was sitting here thinking of her & I thought of this song.

A person whom I have the utmost respect for, told me a story about this song, and i'll never look at it the same way. While he was young, and going through the struggles of growing up, his mother was also having problems, that caused her to take her own life. The morning of her funeral, his alarm clock woke him, playing this song. I can only imagine the pain he felt at that moment.

My boyfriend who was also my best friend passed this past January. I've had this song stuck in my head ever since. I really miss him. He comforted me when I was sad. I was able to tell him any thing. I still talk to him. But I would like to feel his arms around one more time. I love this song but I wish I could get it out my head. It makes me cry a lot. And he hated it when I cried.

It's simply a song about someone's sadness, because the person he or she loved, left them and broke their trust and their heart. And now they are left wondering where will the comfort that they got from this person, come from now. It's one of the prettiest songs ever written.

I think that I associate this song with my grandpa dying before I was born and my dad would always tell me about him, and how much he missed him and his advice and that he finally was able to talk with him about why he raised my dad so harsh, and just when he thought he was having a brand new relationship with his dad, the next day my grandpa was electrocuted but he was able to tell his son that he loved him.
