You Me At Six – Crash lyrics
Wait, where you say you've been?
Who you been with?
Where you say you're goin'?
Who you goin' with
?

Keep me on my toes,
Keep me in the know.

Wait, keep me in your skin,
Keep me in your chest.
I'll wait for it to start,
I'll wait for it to end.

Keep me on my toes,
Keep me in the know.

But when I looked at her,
I thought of only you.
If only there was proof I could use to show it's true
.

We were young,
We were in our teens.
It wasn't real love,
Spent behind bars.
Oh it's sad to think,
We just let it be.
Prisoners of love.

It's so easy for it to be,
Something second guessed.
Easy to read,
Don't let it become,
A meaningless routine.
It's meaningless to me.

But when I looked at her,
I thought of only you.
If only there was proof I could use to show it's true.

Just crash, fall down,
I'll wrap my arms around you now.
Just crash, it's our time now,
To make this work second time around.

We grew up,
We worked and changed our ways.
Just like wildfire,
Been burning now for days.
Tearing down those walls,
Nothing's in our way.
I said, nothing's in our way.

And I know,
I've said this all before,
But opposites attract.
We try and run away,
But end up running back.

And all I want to do,
All I want to do,
Is lie down and...

Crash, fall down.
I'll wrap my arms around you now.
Just crash, it's our time now,
To make it work, second time around.

Ohhh crash, fall down.
Just crash, fall down.
Just crash, fall down.
Just crash, fall down.

I know what this is about. He doesn't want to give up the one he loves but he's already with someone else. This is all I am listening to at the moment, iv ruined someone's life and I don't know what to do but I can't go back I just can't! : '(i know iv killed him inside and iv killed myself to. I just want everything to go back to the way it was when we was happy and giggleing and everything perfect: '(

I think it's all about a girl that he's crazy about but it was a while ago when they were together and he doesn't want her to forget, and he doesn't want to forget either. And he has tried to move on but can't as he still only sees her. They were 'prisoners of love' and they couldn't prevent how strong they had become together and how comfortable they were together. But them not being together has made them stronger apart so now 'nothings in their way'. And finally they try to stay apart. They 'try and run away, but end up running back' and now he thinks they should just 'lie down and crash'. They should give up trying to be apart because they are so much better and stronger together, so they should try again to make it work.

I think this song is reflecting on a teenage relationship. He says 'it wasn't real love' because that's what everyone keeps telling him. He is asking for her to remember him though, and for her to keep him updated on her life. He is with someone else, but all he can think about is this one girl who he dated when they were younger. In the chorussy bit, he is saying that they are no longer teens, so they can be together. That's my take on it anyway.

Okay, I think this song is about a couple in love, and he keeps cheating on her and she keeps forgiving him, he doesn't mean to hurt her but he keeps doing it. She knows its better off if they were not together but she loves him she trys to leave but can't, even though hes cheated on her she still loves him. They always end up together no matter what.

I think it is about the part when you are in love but you start to think about what it would be like with another person, but you realise that you don't really want or need another person, and the person that you have is all you need. I can relate to it because my boyfriend, I have been with him for a year and 7 months and sometimes I do wonder what it'd be like with somebody else, yet I always realise that I couldn't live without him and he is my everything and I always end up staying with him rather than straying. I love him so much x

This song has a very important place in my heart. The way I see this song is through my own eyes and how I view my ex-boyfriend. He was my everything and I screwed it up by being an overbearing loon. Its been 5 months since we broke up, yet every part of me wants him back. He was everything I could've asked for but I threw it all away. But there is a part of me that believes that maybe sometime in the future, after we figure everything out, maybe we'll get a second chance. I've learned so much from being away from him, and I think that's just the way it was supposed to be. You have to have something ripped away from you to realize that it was one of the best things in your life.

It's about a relationship that ended badly but they keep "running back" to eachother. Even after years of being apart and not seeing her, the guy still has feelings for her. When he's with other girls, "he thinks of only her" but he can't convince her it's true as he's desperately hurt her in the past. This is him realising she's the only girl he's ever actually loved and really wants her back.

It's a song about finding young love, when you are teenagers, and it began so beautiful, but then it got into a routine, and it faded away. Years on, the two meet again, and he suggests they give it another go, as that core spark never faded fully, however they are both scared it will just become a meaningless routine again, so they go in circles, and cirles, he tries other girls, and realises the girl he is singing about the song is the only girl he really ever wanted, and now he just wants the circles to go away, he wants the routine to fade away, he wants enchantment and fascination, he wants them to 'crash' and work this time, as they are older and wiser.

The inevitable. We try and run away but end up running back. The vicious circle of love lust or whatever label you want to give it but in the end we all crash because were tired. Tired of chasing tired of confusion and tired of hurting. But sometimes if your the exception to the rule you'll find someone to wrap their arms around you and crash together rather than alone.
